Privacy Policy

Melro.io (“Melro”, “we”) is an independent digital product studio based in Belmonte, Portugal, founded by Pedro Santos and Amanda Santos. We are the controller of the personal data collected on melro.io.

This policy covers only the melro.io company website. Each Melro product (oJOB., Parallax, Melro Pad, MVP10, Felicia and others) has its own privacy policy, available on its website or app, which prevails when using that product.

Contact form: name, email, subject, company (optional) and message. We use this data to reply to your request. Legal basis: pre-contractual steps at your request and our legitimate interest in replying to people who contact us.

Waitlists: when you choose a “Waitlist” subject, we use your name and email to let you know when the product launches or beta spots open. Legal basis: your consent, which you can withdraw at any time by replying to any of our emails or writing to us.

Custom projects: data exchanged to prepare a proposal is processed for that purpose; if we go ahead, the project is governed by its own contract.

Usage statistics: only with your consent, we use Google Analytics 4 to measure visits and clicks in aggregate (see section 5).

We do not sell personal data, do not use it for personalised advertising and do not make automated decisions with legal effects about you.

Contact messages: up to 24 months after the last exchange, unless they lead to a contract (then for the applicable legal period).

Waitlists: until the product launches plus 6 months, or until you withdraw consent.

Analytics data: according to Google Analytics retention settings (14 months).

Analytics cookies (Google Analytics: _ga, _ga_*): only set after you accept in the cookie notice. Without consent, Google Analytics runs in restricted mode and stores no cookies on your device.

Local storage: we only store your cookie choice (“melro:analytics-consent”) so we don't ask again.

You can change your choice at any time under “Cookie preferences” in the site footer.

Google Ireland / Google LLC — website hosting (Firebase Hosting), contact-form processing (Cloud Functions) and Google Analytics.

Resend, Inc. — delivering form submissions to our inbox.

Some of these providers may process data outside the European Economic Area, notably in the United States. Such transfers rely on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and/or standard contractual clauses approved by the European Commission.

Under the GDPR you can request access, rectification, erasure, restriction or portability of your data, object to processing and withdraw consent at any time without affecting prior processing. Just email contacto@melro.io; we reply within one month.

You may also lodge a complaint with the Portuguese data protection authority (CNPD — www.cnpd.pt).

The site is served over HTTPS only, the form has spam protection and access to data is limited to the founders. No system is infallible, but we apply technical and organisational measures appropriate to the risk.

This website is not aimed at children under 16 and we do not knowingly collect children's data. Family products such as Felicia have their own policies with appropriate safeguards.

We may update this policy to reflect changes to the site or the law. The last-updated date is always shown at the top.
